Sample Letter of Recommendation Negative

When hiring a job aspirant, organizations ask for a recommendation letter form the previous employers. Now it's the duty of the previous employer to provide information about the ex-employee and draft the recommendation letter. If the employee was not good with their work and was unprofessional, then the negative letter of recommendation is drafted. Do not provide an false information and it is always recommended that provide proof with it. Use professional language and mention all the reasons why the person was not a good employee. Avoid using profanity or any aggressive words in the letter no matter how bad the employee was.

Dear Mr. Brown,

Beverly Holt was an employee of St. Vincent civil hospital as a registered nurse from July 2005 to May 2009. Her job responsibility included looking after patients in the out patient department.

She was very indisciplined and never completed her duties and responsibilities on time. She was very unprofessional during her tenure as she took various uninformed leave and had a very casual approach toward her job. She was hired on the post of registered nurse on the basis of the vast experience she had, yet she showed complete incompetence toward her job. Her duty was to monitor the condition of the patients and make reports based on it. However, errors were found in the maintained data, which was completely unacceptable. She was not able to handle the work pressure. Despite of repeated warnings and administrative action, she never showed any signs of improvement.

Her nature of turning a deaf ear to the provided suggestions prevented her form becoming a good nurse though she is sufficiently talented to do so. Miss Holt's services were not up to the mark, owing to which she was asked to resign. However she will be good at duties that do not require a great deal of responsibility.

I would suggest you not to hire Miss Beverly Holt for any job in the nursing field where the employee is true to there profession and respect there work. Thank you for going through this letter and for your time. I hope you consider my request.

Sincerely
Harold R. Legg
